Mohammad Mansoor was born and raised in Pakistan. He earned his Diploma in Fine Art from Central Institute of Art and Craft. He earned BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design, and MFA from the University of Cincinnati. While at UC he was starting to play music, and continued to do so for number of years as a percussionist and traveled extensively through most part of US. He gave up playing music and started to teach, and work for agencies as an illustrator and computer graphic artist. Though he always wanted to paint and draw, his job and other responsibilities kept him away from what he loved to do most.
He relocated to Columbus Ohio, and pressure from his family and friends after twenty- five years laps he started to paint again. Mansoor has always worked with the human figure as the main subject matter, but utilizes the light and shadow to create dramatic affect. Movement is created through form and texture. Mansoor’s medium of choice is the Oil’s but he has worked in many mediums. He love’s to draw with ball point pen.
